Ageless Qigong is a total wellness program
I offer Qigong, Tai Chi, mindfulness training, stress management and personal training programs for individuals, groups, corporate and educational settings and customer service. I teach staff and teachers a variety of mindfulness strategies to cope with high stress work environments.
Together, these offerings equal a total wellness program covering Mind (Stress Reduction/meditation), Body (Mindfulness Personal training) and Spirit (Qigong/Tai Chi).
I teach Qigong which is a Chinese health care practice and is easy and fun to do, available to even those in a wheelchair. It integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intention. It is easy and fun to do. It has been shown to lower blood pressure, increase blood circulation, improve digestion, increase cardiovascular strength and reduce stress levels. These gentle, slow movements are especially geared for those people with injuries, chronic conditions, and reduced flexibility, to enable them to gain greater mobility.
I offer Tai Chi which is one of the best-known martial arts of the Internal styles from ancient China.
Based on Qigong and martial art techniques from thousands of years ago, Sun style is the youngest of the major styles and was created by Sun Lu-tang (1861-1932). This Sun style Tai Chi class will last 1 hour, meeting 1x/week. It will always follow a 3-fold general format: warm-up, practice and self-massage. Once the class becomes proficient in Sun style, we move on to learn Cheng Man-Ch’ing Yang style Tai Chi (37 postures).
I offer a variety of stress management classes, depending on the facility and company where I teach. I tailor the class to fit the specific needs of both the individuals and of management. When I teach at companies, they generally want a focus on practical tips employees they can use on a daily basis. I instruct premier techniques that have the most impact on organizations that are looking for short, quick and practical exercises to do in a fast-paced world.
I offer personal training in a variety of settings to match the needs of my clients. As an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, I have been in the Health and Wellness industry for 20 years and specialize in mindfulness personal training and adapting exercises and modifying routines to fit the circumstances, injuries or medical conditions of my clients. My willingness to meet the client where they are today is matched by my willingness to train them at home, at gyms and virtually via a Zoom platform.
